Time flies when you're having fun (or if you're just BUSY!)

I cannot believe that the last time I blogged was in APRIL! I don't think I have ever let it go this long without blogging! So... here's a mass update on what's been going on here (in brief form otherwise I will be here all night!)
  • In June I Celebrated my 27th Birthday with friends at Carrabba's. I made some really cute cupcakes with fondant roses on top. I will post a pic of them a little later!
  • Movies we have seen recently, Up and The Proposal! Loved them both!
  • Garrett recently filmed a commercial for Cisco!
  • This Thursday Garrett starts the advanced Improv class with the Jesterz!
  • My parents have their official immigration interview on the 15th of this month - can't wait! They will be here soon!
  • In June I was super busy designing ads for a local wedding magazine.
  • Right now I am catching up on client work before my parents arrive in a few weeks!
  • 4th of July weekend was spent with my in-laws, BBQ-ing, Pool, Gelato, Asian Market, & Nello's - it was a great day!
  • Recently discovered Hobby Lobby - and all the super cute home decor they have - love it!
  • In June I decided to go blonde again - and I am loving it!
That's about it for right now - I will attempt to keep this better updated - but the next few months are going to be crazy busy for me - so I am not promising anything ! I hope you're all well and enjoying the summer!

Our California Trip!

This past weekend Garrett and I (and Kal-El too!) took a trip to California for a few days - we had a blast! We left late Thursday night and arrived at our friend Geoff's home in Orange County a bit before midnight. We had a busy schedule while we were there - and fit a lot of fun things in!

Friday we were up early to tour the Oakley Headquarters. Anyone that knows Garrett well knows that he LOVES sunglasses and watches. He doesn't like just any sunglasses either - hes a HUGE HUGE HUGE fan of Oakley (has been for quite some time now) - so when the opportunity to tour the headquarters came along - you can bet he was VERY excited about it!

The Oakley Headquarters entrance was colossal! The architecture was amazing, just like their products, a lot of thought went into the look of the building. The designers added ejection seats from fighter jets to the entrance hall (see pics below!) and we were lucky enough to be given a tour of the place. We saw the extensive testing each product goes through to ensure the high performance quality that Oakley is known for. On the way out Garrett was able to purchase a few pairs of sunglasses, a jacket, and a hat. He was a happy camper!

We then drove out to Disneyland for the rest of the day. We hit all of our fave rides - including one I hadn't been on before (which is now my new fave!) Space Mountain was closed last time we went to Disneyland for maintenance - so it was great to finally be able to see what all the fuss was about - it was a great ride, and I was not disappointed!

Saturday was spent in down town Los Angeles with our friends Devon and Steve. They gave us the whole L.A. Experience! We had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen in Hollywood (you could see the Hollywood sign from the terrace where we had lunch) and we then walked downstairs to see some of the stars on "The Walk of Fame" in downtown Hollywood. Garrett took some pics of Jim Carey's prints by the theatre. We then drove around and saw homes in Bel Aire, and drove down to Santa Monica by the pier to put our feet in the water and feel the sand between our toes! We then had dinner with Devon and Steve at Bandera in Brentwood, and had the most amazing steak ever! The dessert was also fabulous! (see pics) It was an amazing day!

Sunday we had breakfast with our Step Third Cousin Geoff and some friends in Manhattan Beach. The afternoon was spent at Rose's (Garrett's Second Cousin Once Removed!) home for some good food and good company for family day, and we drove home that evening!

We had a fabulous time - check out the pics below!
